Culinary Arts Program--In the Coats Vocational Complex
students are offered a class in the field of Culinary Arts with Mr. Kevin Voelker as the instructor.
The program is designed for students wishing to pursue a career in the food service industry.
They receive a well-rounded education in the Culinary Arts. All classes focus on
the art of cooking, nutrition, kitchen efficiency and hygiene, importance of
visual appeal, a variety of cooking styles, preparing home cooked meals for a
family, proper equipment and appropriate table settings to planning delicious
menus.

Cake Decorating--

Grover C. Farquhar, teacher, editor, and librarian at MSD for 42 years. |

Angelo and his finished work. |
Angelo was commissioned to decorate a cake with the
picture of Grover Farquhar, in honor of him during our MSD History Day.
Angelo accomplished the task without the use of an image machine and
"free-hand" drew the picture. Well done, Angelo! |
