Middle School Science Fair

Wheeler Middle School held its annual Science Fair on the afternoon of January 25, 2007. Each middle school student was required to develop an experiment that included testing variables. They had to plan the experiment, gather the materials, perform the experiment, record observations, and develop a conclusion. They also had to create a poster to display what they learned. There were experiments from all areas of science. covering the subjects of beauty (testing shampoos), to the gross (growing mold and dissolving egg shells).

Shaq: Filling balloons with carbon dioxide.

Steven: Experimenting with a periscope.

Tadd: An experiment testing the physics of motion.

Victoria: Which shampoo cleans the best?

Zak: An experiment testing various tapes on balloons.
