DI 2002-2003

Destination Imagination (DI) is an exciting creative problem solving program for kids of all ages.  It teaches kids the things they don't learn in regular classes in school.  They brainstorm, build devices, sew, do woodworking, use artistic skills, and do whatever it takes to create and produce a skit as creatively as possible, all in the effort to solve a "problem."

This year, the team selected the "Cartoon Dimensions" problem.  The team had to create new cartoon characters and make them come alive in a skit.  They had to draw a cartoon cel, make a sound effect, and create something that changed from two dimensional to three dimensional.

The story line the team developed centered around Mad Scientist Sirius, his lab assistant Tommy, and their new mad scientist machine.  The machine goes berserk, as do the cartoon characters who emerge.

Practice!
